Description
The French & English Adult Card Game.
Every card is a truth, a dare or a never have I ever, written in both languages. Read yours out loud in the language you're not as comfortable in, and keep trying until the table accepts your pronunciation. Refuse a card and you take a punishment.
Expect spicy questions, cheeky dares and confessions you can't take back. Made for pre-drinks, date nights, language exchanges and mixed groups of French and English speakers. No fluency needed.

How to Play
Setting up
Split the deck into two piles: the red game cards and the cream punishment cards. Shuffle each pile and place them face down in the middle of the table.
On your turn
Draw a card from the red pile and read it out loud in the language you're weaker in. If your pronunciation doesn't convince the table, go again until everyone's happy with it. That's the only part you have to do in your weaker language. Once it's read out, answer, do the dare or explain yourself in whatever language you like.
The three types of card
Truth: Answer it, and answer it honestly. Trust us, the table will know.
Dare: Do it.
Never have I ever: This one's for everyone. Read it out, and anyone who's done it drinks. Yes, that includes you.
Refusing a card
If you won't answer a truth or do a dare, draw a punishment card from the cream pile instead. Read it out, do what it says, then slide it back under the pile so it can come round again.
Dares involving someone else
Some dares need another player. If the person you choose says no, you both take a punishment.
When does it end?
When the red pile runs out, or when the night does. A good night ends before the deck does.
FAQ
Do I need to speak French?
No. Every card is written in both French and English, so everyone can play, whatever their level.
Is it good for practicing French?
It's a party game first, but reading out loud in your weaker language is a fun way to practice, especially at language exchanges.
Do we have to drink alcohol?
No. Any drink works, soft drinks included.
How explicit is it?
It's cheeky and suggestive, made for adults. Agree as a group what's off the table before you start, and look after each other.
Does it make a good gift?
Yes, of course! It's perfect for anyone learning French, French friends living abroad, or a couple where one of you is French and the other is learning. A great Secret Santa gift!
